TRP Research has an opportunity for an Office Administrator/Senior Office Administrator to join the team based in Taunton. The successful candidate will join us on a full time or part time permanent basis and will receive a salary of ??18,000-??25,000 (full time equivalent) + benefits, depending on experience. Depending on the applicant, hours of work are between 20-40 hours per week and also potentially including weekends.
TRP Research Ltd is an independent supplier of media measurement, reporting and analysis. We work with broadcasters, programme makers, distributors, government departments, sports organisations, industry bodies and others.
Our company is growing, and we now find that we have a vacancy for an Office Administrator/Senior Office Administrator to be based in our busy Taunton head office. As Office Administrator you will be responsible for organising many of the day to day administrative activities that will facilitate the smooth running of our office.
The Office Administrator/Senior Office Administrator Role:
Specifically, in this role you will be responsible for:
- Answering calls to the switchboard and liasing with the team here according to the requirements of the caller
- Greeting clients, candidates, suppliers and other visitors to the office
- Receiving, sorting and distributing incoming and outgoing post
- Booking travel and accommodation when required
- Maintaining supplies of stationery and other office items
- Ensuring the office environment is maintained appropriately by staff members
- Organising company wide events and training sessions in conjunction with our Operations team
- Coordinating Health and Safety compliance
- Coordinating Fire Safety and First Aid compliance
- Building administration, including day to day communication with building caretakers, buliding management company and other tenants
- Championing the office environment - drive tidiness and compliance with policy
- Kitchen and communal areas
- Promoting sustainability and good environmental practice
- Rubbish, re-cycling, shredding, hard disk and computer disposal
- Organising office maintenance and repairs
- Managing car park: Maintain staff list of number plates and manage tenant relations
- Other administrative duties as required
Skills, Knowledge and Experience required by the Office Administrator/Senior Office Administrator
- Experience of working in a professional environment and with people of different levels within a business or organisation
- Experience of working closely with or providing an internal business service to senior members of staff
- Experience in the commercial sector
- Strong numeracy skills
- Client/customer service experience
- Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office programmes - including Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint
- Good written and verbal communication skills
- Planning skills: Experience of prioritising workloads and managing deadlines
- Co-ordination skills: Experience of working effectively within a wider team and between teams
- A reasonable typing speed
Ideally, the Office Administrator/Senior Office Administrator will also be
- Is a quick learner
- Is proactive
- Is able to use initiative
- Is organised
- Has good attention to detail
- Is enthusiastic and approachable
