LOROS Hospice is a local charity and every year we care for over 2,500 people across Leicester, Leicestershire and Rutland.  We deliver free, high-quality, compassionate care and support to terminally ill patients, their family and carers. 

Youth Engagement Co-ordinator

37.5 hours per week

LOROS is committed to extending the reach of its work with young people and as a result is delighted to offer this exciting role to develop opportunities for them to engage in a variety of activities across the organisation.  The successful applicant will also identify opportunities to raise awareness of LOROS with a variety of external stakeholder organisations working with young people.

The successful applicant will develop different programmes of activities ranging from volunteering, work placements, summer schools and specific programmes of engagement which promote young people to engage with the organisation.  The aim will be to support the development of knowledge and skills of young people but also to enhance the delivery of different services across the organisation.

To succeed in this role you should have experience of recruiting, training and managing staff/volunteers and have the ability to relate to young people and their aspirations.  Good communication and organisational skills are essential as is being proficient in Microsoft Office.
