Procurement Specialist - contract position - Horsham - pay rate GBP17.95 per hour Negotiable
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
1. Develop and implement commodity strategies for all key direct materials and bought out goods in order to continuously improve cost, quality and continuity of supply through:
a. Research into market conditions and developing technologies
b. Alignment with specific commodity/product managers/planners
c. Identification and mitigation of risk
d. Sourcing from preferred supplier base (PSL)
e. Engagement with Supplier Quality Engineering and Design Engineering
f. Development of supplier relationships
g. Negotiation and documentation of new agreements
h. Competitive bid packages i.e. e-Auction
i. Alignment of Honeywell working capital goals with suppliers' payment terms
2. Resolve invoice discrepancies
3. Manage supplier performance through quarterly meetings and scorecards. If required establish corrective actions to bring supplier back on track
4. Lead supply chain improvement projects such as consignment programs
5. Ensure that the following supplier master data is correct and maintained in the system:
a. Contract Agreements
b. Pricing and Purchase Information Records (PIR)
c. Payment Terms
d. Lead Times
e. Production/Batch sizes and Minimum Order Quantities
6. Escalate and prioritize any measure that is not on target, and create/execute/monitor a recovery plan to address any gaps
7. Support PLC (Product Life Cycle) and obsolescence management to ensure EOL (End of Life) components are managed and obsolescence is minimized
8. Support the NPI process to ensure the introduction of new products to volume production is effectively coordinated, and cost and risk is minimized
9. Comply with HSE regulations and HOS principles
10. Comply with HTS approved sourcing policies and procedures
Measures applied:
1. Direct Material/Bought out Goods productivity
2. Purchase Price Variance
3. SOTTR (Supplier on Time to Request)
4. AWPT (Average Weighted Payment Terms) by supplier
5. AWLT (Average Weighted Lead Time) by part number & by supplier
6. Contract Execution Adherence (Supplier and Price)
