As the Quality Manager, you'll develop and implement our client's quality policies, procedures and systems.
In this important role, you'll maintain and improve the Quality Management System (QMS) in-line with ISO 9001:2008, AS9100 and customer requirements.
Specifically, your duties will involve:
- Leading, coaching and developing the Quality Assurance Team
- Handling the quality process for the entire product line, from supplier to customer
- Ensuring compliance with quality policies, standards and requirements
- Communicating quality standards and expectations to employees, suppliers and customers
- Managing internal and external audits and making necessary corrective or preventative actions
- Supporting the Engineering Team with new product/process designs and implementations
Interested? To be considered, you'll need:
- Significant quality assurance experience, gained within an aerospace manufacturing environment
- In-depth knowledge of ISO 9001:2008 and AS9100
- A bachelor's degree in engineering or equivalent experience
Pragmatic and collaborative, as the Quality Manager, you will need excellent communication skills and strong relationship-building abilities. You'll also be able to influence and persuade others.
Ideally, you'll have experience with rubber products and/or sealing technologies. Experience of the 8D Corrective action methodology would also be advantageous, as would an ASQ certification or a Six Sigma Black Belt and/or Green Belt. An ISO 9001 and/or AS9100 Lead Auditor qualification would also be beneficial.
