We have an excellent opportunity for a Quality Engineer to join a leading and expanding manufacturing company based in Tredegar, South Wales paying a salary of circa GBP27,000 per annum plus benefits.
QUALITY ENGINEER
GBP27,000 PLUS OVERTIME
33 DAYS HOLIDAY, PENSION, FREE PARKING
TREDEGAR, SOUTH WALES
MON - FRI 37.5 HRS PER WEEK
The role of the Quality Engineer will be to work closely with the New Model and Production Support teams to provide Quality support to all production activities and projects. This will involve PPAP submissions, SPC Analysis and FMEA, along with accuracy studies and co-ordination of samples.
The successful Quality Engineer will have the following skills and experience:
??HNC in Engineering related subject
??Ideally be apprentice served, with knowledge of machine shop equipment
??CMM experience
??Excellent understanding of PPAP and FMEA
??Knowledge & experience of ISO9001/2 and TS16949
??Understanding of SPC & process capability
??Hands on engineering experience
??Excellent customer liaison skills
The Quality Engineer will be responsible for liaising with customers (globally) to prepare and deliver reports, as well as resolving any issues. You will work closely with production teams regarding concerns from customers and put together action plans to remedy any issues.
Other duties will also include collaborating with the Design team over quality issues and participate fully with NPI activities. In addition you will also be carrying out audits, maintaining the Quality System and writing procedures.
This is an excellent opportunity for a Quality Engineer to join a successful organisation as they go through a period of growth and expansion - initially this will be a stand alone role, however there will be future opportunities to grow and develop the team and role for the right candidate. Ideally, you will have experience in the automotive industry however, our client is keen to see candidates from an engineering and associated manufacturing background.
