BIM Coordinator - Civil Engineering

Our client is a leading international consultancy, offering multi-disciplinary engineering, planning and environmental services to clients both in the UK and globally. Their reputation spans over a century and they are known for engineering excellence in the structures, water and transportation sectors.
They have a current requirement for a BIM Coordinator to join an established Civil and Infrastructure team in their Cardiff office. The BIM Coordinator/Technician will have extensive experience in the production of designs and details for Highways and Infrastructure/Drainage projects.
You'll be responsible for the delivery of preliminary and detailed designs including 3D BIM outputs for highways, land development and rail infrastructure projects for a range of both public and private sectors clients. Reporting to a Team Leader/Project Manager, you will provide technical support for assigned projects ensuring the successful delivery of challenging engineering schemes.
Skills and experience required:
- You'll be educated to a minimum level of HNC in Civil Engineering (or equivalent)
- A recognised professional qualification such as Tech Eng or I Eng would be beneficial
- You'll have a background in highways, drainage, or infrastructure design.
- You'll have extensive technical knowledge and the ability to produce BIM models and CAD outputs to budget and time constraints.
- You'll possess excellent CAD skills including AutoCAD and Civil 3D combined with knowledge of BIM packages such as REVIT or Navisworks. Knowledge of drainage design software is desirable.
- You'll have experience of working in a design & build environment.
- You have excellent written and verbal communications skills.
