This charity works with offenders and prisoners in Lincolnshire and the surrounding area. The main focus of their work is resettlement and rehabilitation support including employability; accommodation; finance and debt; and children and families and over 2,000 clients access services each year.

The National Offender Management Service (NOMS) has a core principle that women offenders require a bespoke service to respond appropriately to their needs in order to desist from offending. Women in the criminal justice system tend to have experienced much higher rates of childhood and adult trauma than women in the general population, and this is often associated with high risk behaviours such as substance misuse, sex work and mental health disorders. There is an emerging evidence base to show that women offenders respond better in women-only environments where they feel safe, where rehabilitation and self efficacy are core principles, and where services are sensitive to the contextual situation than can affect a women's ability to engage, such as childcare, lack of transport and mental health. Humberside, Lincolnshire and North Yorkshire Community Rehabilitation Company (HLNY CRC) has therefore commissioned the trust to establish a women's service for the Greater Lincolnshire area.

They are looking to recruit a Senior Practitioner (Women's Service) to implement a new Women's Service across Greater Lincolnshire and lead the newly formed team, whilst supporting a caseload of clients. The post holder will have autonomy in how she operates to meet the needs of the clients referred and the wider service, however the boundaries of the CRC and the criminal justice system will obviously need to be adhered to.

The post is based in south Lincolnshire, most likely in Boston and will primarily cover the south and east of the county.

It is an Occupational Requirement that applications for this post are open to women only, as permitted under Schedule 9, Part 1, of the Equality Act 2010.
