Main Duties and Responsibilities
- Overseeing all project matters, including quality standards, safety, programme, profitability and coordination of site works
- Formulating and presenting progress reports (both internally and externally)
- Overall responsibility and accountability for quality and timely completion of the project and snagging
- Formulating and agreeing main contract programmes, and sub contract time frames
- Setting the agenda for the construction process and coordination of design/information
- Controlling contractual correspondence and distribution of information, including recording key information
- Involvement in the procurement, implementation, management and control and monitoring of sub-contractors
- Attending, co-ordinating and leading contract review meetings
- Responsible for obtaining the PC certificate at completion with zero/minimum defects
- Be responsible for health and safety of yourself and others all in accordance with the requirements of your Training and Site Induction
The successful candidate will have strong leadership skills, with an ability to mentor and develop others. They will have excellent communication skills at all levels, both written and verbal, along with strong numeric and analytical skills.
Regular travel will be required throughout the North West, Midlands and Yorkshire areas, therefore, a willingness and ability to travel is essential.
Required Skills and Experience:
- A proven background in new build housing and / or commercial new build and refurbishment is essential, with a background in trade advantageous
- SMSTS and First Aid certification essential
- Ability to build productive stakeholder relationships
- Commercially astute with a proven ability to manage costs
- Proven ability to manage multiple projects and deliver quality work on time, within budget
- Able to demonstrate a thorough understanding of Health & Safety legislation
- Thorough, with strong attention to detail
- Computer literate
