Our client, a secure unit in the Sarisbury Green area is now looking for an experienced Maths Teacher to join the team full time as soon as possible.
The primary aim of the unit is to provide a secure facility that can provide a safe and child centred environment in which children can begin to address the issues that have led to their loss of liberty. The aim is to consider all aspects of the child's well-being including physical, mental, emotional, health and the lifestyle choices they make.
Early intervention, problem solving, social skills, group living and pro-social modelling form the daily ethos of this specialist unit, which is based on respect, positive reinforcement and positive role modelling. Underpinning the philosophy is the belief that all children are capable of change, to engage and achieve, leading to them making more positive choices about their lives and their futures.
The team now require a dynamic, enthusiastic and dedicated teacher to join them in motivating and supporting the children through the changes to their lives. There will be robust supervision process which is a vital part of professional development with regular reviews for all staff.
The successful candidate must have experience in a similar setting, be able to provide a minimum of three academic references and be subjected to a new DBS unless previously registered with the update service.
