Our client, a leading corporate law firm with 4 practices across Manchester, currently requires an enthusiastic, organised and hard-working Legal Administrator / Clerk to join their busy investment property team. Job Description
Reporting to the Administration Team Leader, day-to-day duties of the role will include:
* Managing a caseload of investment files
* Following procedures, completing required admin processes and progressing the casefile
* Preparing files for money laundering checks
* Updati g spreadsheets with client information
* Liaising with clients, solicitors and colleagues
* Filing, scanning, archiving and photocopying
* Typing and formatting documents
* Providing cover for reception as required
Person Specification
The ideal candidate will be an organised and enthusiastic Administrator / Office Junior with a minimum of 6 months relevant experience. You should possess strong IT skills, including typing, data entry and use of Excel spreadsheets, and the ability to produce accurate work. Suitable candidates will also need to demonstrate:
* A minimum of 5 GCSEs at Grades C or above, including Maths and English
* Polite, professional telephone manner
* Keen attention to detail
* Organisation and time management skills
* Initiative and flexibility
The hours of work are Monday-Friday 9.00am-5.00pm. The offices are located in Alderley Edge and easily accessible on public transport. The starting salary is GBP14-18,000 depending on experience, plus additional benefits. Any previous experience in a legal practice or specifically within conveyancing or property would be advantageous, but is not essential.
