Would you like to support the Design Management Services team within Maritime Services - Warship Support? We currently have a vacancy for an Assistant Project Manager - Design Management Services at our site in Portsmouth.
As an Assistant Project Manager, you will work closely with the MoD Customer and other stakeholders including the Royal Navy, Design Services team, Warship Technical Authority, other APMs and the Engineering team.
This role involves maintaining positive working relationships with all internal and external customers, opening up development opportunities and to be part of a number of exciting projects.
Your main responsibilities as an Assistant Project Manager - Design Management Services will involve:
Supporting the Project Manager across all aspects of project management for a project, including the deployment of project control and project management techniques
Ensuring and maintaining delivery of budget, schedule, scope, risk management and quality
Acting as the primary point of contact for all Engineering Team activities on assigned tasks to ensure work is appropriately planned and prioritised
Working closely with the customer and other stakeholders, providing a clear picture of tasks, project progress and financial expenditure
Completing all customer and business reporting requirements in a timely manner in accordance with the agreed timetable including current and future resource demands
Your skills and qualifications:
HNC/HND or equivalent experience in relevant Engineering or PM business discipline
Significant experience working in a project environment, defining the scope of the project and breaking this into manageable units
Knowledge or understanding of engineering
Good written and verbal communication skills
Good stakeholder management skills
