Our client provides bespoke training programmes that aim to improve their clients' business performance in sales, marketing and service. They are a well-established name, founded in 1997, with a turnover of GBP10m+ and a long list of Blue Chip clients.

Salary: GBP45-55k + benefits

The Role:

This is a key opportunity to play a pivotal role in supporting operations of a global leader in the sales training industry. The role will help to improve our client's delivery standards and support the business in its objective of doubling in size within 3 years.

As Head of Delivery you will report directly to the COO with the mission of reducing our faculty costs, developing our forecasting capability and revitalising our associate faculty network.

This is primarily a procurement focused role where you will proactively manage the recruitment, cost and quality of associates, as well as the faculty management processes across the business. You will play an active role in the overall drive for operational excellence across both the delivery function and project teams.

You will also have line management responsibility for the Delivery Support role, Delivery Consultant and eventually, for the right candidate, the company's two internal Master Trainers.

Our client has made headway in developing their approach to the following key areas; as the Head of Delivery you will be responsible for implementing those operational plans, as well as bringing your own ideas on how to continuously improve them:

- Reducing and maintaining lowered faculty costs
- Developing a highly engaged network of high quality professional faculty
- Forecasting global faculty recruitment needs and cost
- Global recruitment, assessment and on-boarding - including negotiations
- Project selection and supporting project teams with negotiations
- Accreditation and the Train the Trainer (T3) processes
- Ongoing QC and quarterly faculty reviews
- Relationship and community building

Day to day responsibilities will include, but not be limited to, the following:

- Reduce faculty costs through tracking and reporting on functional metrics and look for cost saving opportunities at project and programme levels
- Strategize on how to recruit cost-effective yet high quality faculty
- Devise and use fruitful faculty sourcing strategies to continuously build networks
- Forecast global faculty requirements and costs
- Examine and test existing faculty contracts
- Foresee alterations in the negotiating position of faculty whilst continuously reviewing the company's negotiating position and analyse and prepare control strategies
- Maintain strong relationships with global faculty and act as a central contact
- Negotiate all faculty on-boarding rates and contracts to agree favourable terms
- Manage faculty assessments, on-boarding and on-going QC
- Monitor QC data, report exceptions & feed into faculty quarterly reviews
- Day to day operational support and response to delivery queries
- Control spend and build a culture of long-term saving on faculty costs

Skills & Experience:

- Strong background in procurement and cost reduction
- Strong commercial understanding with demonstrable experience of forecasting and managing costs whilst retaining strong, positive working relationships
- Strong negotiation skills with demonstrable experience of being able to think laterally
- Ability to think both commercially and strategically
- Ability to coach those who are less experienced in negotiations
- Experience of managing faculty and in depth understanding of their day to day delivery requirements
- Experience of managing geographically dispersed team
- Experience of working with delivery processes in the training sector - including what works well & what doesn't, and the ability to identify what best practice would look like for the company.
- Influencing skills to be able to present solutions and implement changes through coaching colleagues
- Excellent communication skills with experience of delivering presentations - ideally also in a virtual format
- High attention to detail; demanding and meticulous application of quality standards
- Excellent organisational and time management skills
- Capable of hands on problem-solving, with ability to generate ideas and solutions as part of a team
- Experience of critiquing the output of others to ensure it is fit for purpose;
- Ability to cope with competing demands and to prioritise tasks;
- Clear and concise communicator in visual, oral and written forms, with outstanding written English
- Strong track record of working collaboratively within a team on projects
