The primary purpose of the role is to author Safety Case Argument Reports (SCAR). This includes updates to Goal structured Notation (GSN), using Adelard Safety Case Editor, relevant to the agreed standards, identifying relevant evidence artefacts, and articulating the GSN in a report format.

Key focus areas are; Ship Integration, Autonomated Logistics Information System, Electromagnetic Engineering Effects, Through Life, Training System, Techcial Interface Meeting action closure, and addressing actions identified as part of the quality audit performed by the BAE Systems team.

Regular reporting of progress and any emergent issues will be required.

Additional to the primary purpose the post holder wil be required to support meetings and briefings as required e.g. Canadian MOD / Italian MOD SCAR delivery briefings and Technical Interchange Meetings, which will include preparation of presentation materials and briefing notes. (It is possible that attendance may be required at these events) The post holder may be required to support to contract closure activities e.g. archive all the documents and processes which are required to be kept by BAE Systems and document key knowledge.

Additional Information
Full SC clearance is required for this role. Some overseas travel may be required.

The Individual
The applicant will ideally have experience authoring safety case arguments using goal structured notation and using Adelard Safety Case Editor. Experience in an aircraft systems safety role and aircraft systems engineering is required. It is desirable that applicants have an Engineering degree or equivalent aircraft systems engineering experience.
