Site Agent

GBP35,000 to GBP40,000 plus fully expensed company car, fuel card, private healthcare and pension

Northamptonshire (UK travel is required between multiple sites/projects)

Role Purpose:

Directs and manages the activities of regional crews responsible for the installation of products. Plans, directs and manages all activities of crew assigned projects within the field to ensure company objectives are achieved for customer satisfaction, safety and quality production, revenue and profit plans and drive continual improvements and productivity in field delivery.

Key Accountabilities

Project Management

- Supports the Project Managers and BDM's in pre-bid and pre-install surveys and follows through to project start up, contract execution and project completion and close out review.
- Assists Project Managers with developing, planning, implementing and leading regional activities to achieve financial objectives
- Develops work plan, staffing and scheduling with project manager for each phase of project as required.
- Ensures availability and appropriate maintenance of required equipment.
- Directs and provides support for foreman and teams in all phases of construction related functions.
- Identifies all training for technical and other skills needed for the Operations and Site Teams to perform their required responsibilities
- Plans and schedules field work, co-ordinating with clients and sub-contractors when necessary.
- Ensures all necessary materials, equipment, sub-contractors and supplies are available to perform assignments.
- Ensures that all standard operating procedures, field records such as thermal logs, curing schedules, lateral sheets and others as required are completed and adhered to and overall quality requirements are met.
- Ensures that appropriate safety training, supplies, equipment and Risk and method statements are provided and adhered to.
- Resolves construction related job problems.
- Maintains and drive a strong culture on customer satisfaction.

Contract Administration

- Supervises foremen who may supervise employees in Operations, maintenance and related departments
- Supports the preparation of bids, processes specifications, tests, progress reports, and project cost review.
- Develops outline work plan, maintains and updates on progresses against schedule and budget.
- Reviews time and production records as true and accurate.
- Confers with project personnel to provide technical advice to resolve problems.
- Reviews status reports prepared by project personnel and modifies schedules or plans as required. Prepares project progress and completion reports for management or clients.
- Maintains continuous effective communications with client, customers and internal management.
- Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organisation's policies and applicable laws.
- Co-ordinates project activities with activities of government regulatory or other governmental agencies
- Maintains an awareness of changes in contract scope and/or opportunities to ensure submission of additional charges or cost recovery properly due under contract and advises client in writing including CVI's, EW etc.

Commercial Support

- Provides site information/invoices to accounts receivable department for processing and payment.
- Reviews field costs for bidding and efficiency purposes.
- Identifies and promotes new business opportunities with existing customers.

General Other Duties

- Report and support investigation on all H&S and quality issues as required.
- Other duties as assigned from time to time by the Operations Director and/or Project Manager

Health & Safety

- Ensure that a Health and Safety culture, policies and procedures are promoted, communicated and implemented effectively in order to minimise risk.

Financial e.g. budgetary limits

- Cost management of contract purchase orders for supplies of good and services
- Sign off on goods and services orders delivery notes

Non-financial e.g. no. of customers, staff

- Liaison with Client employees, customers, agencies and sub-contractors.
- Liaison with the members of the Management Team and other Senior Managers as required.

Qualifications, Experience and Skills

Essential

- HNC in Civil Engineering or equivalent with at least two years' experience in site agent or similar construction related role.
- Computer literate with a solid understanding of Microsoft office, including word, excel etc.
- Must have strong interpersonal skills with ability to instruct, control and influence subordinates.
- Excellent organisational skills and methodical attention to detail.
- Full driving licence

Desireable

- Previous industry specific experience in CIPP and sewer lining activities.
