About Us
We have been proudly delivering valuable HR, Employment Law, ISO and Health and Safety services to SME's across the UK for over 20 years. We are far from your average service provider. Our colleagues bring their brilliant selves to work every day and we create an environment where they can shine.
It's a great place to work because of the people we employ. Fun, professional and ambitious, we want likeminded individuals who love to love their job (no 'mood hoovers' here thanks!). Our mission is to be the Company that clients want to work with and people want to work for. We've grown rapidly over the past few years and have plans to triple the size of our business over the next few years.
You and the Role
You want to work in a business where you can add value, grow and be part of a winning team that does great things and has fun.
You are a brilliant commercially focused HR generalist with expertise in building a high performing workforce and a real passion for demonstrating what great HR looks like by building value through people in line with our business objectives.
Whilst you can manage policies and procedures and advise on employee relations (which you will need to do), in this role you will be focused upon designing and executing initiatives which help to deliver our business objectives. In this role you will be responsible for successful HR Operations across the business and with 450 colleagues (half of which are based throughout the UK), plans for growth and a relatively small HR team, this role is not for the faint hearted.
Our culture is really important to us and your fit with the team and Company is as important as your skills and experience. Positive, open and very approachable, you will have the ability to quickly build rapport and be viewed as a Trusted Advisor by all stakeholders. People genuinely like with you because of your approach and the proven value you add.
Our people plan is aimed at attracting, retaining and developing great people whilst lifting the overall performance of people within our business so you will need expertise in successfully delivering initiatives and creating interventions within at least one key but interdependent component of our plan (cultural change programmes; performance and talent analysis, action and development; communication and collaboration; leadership development) and be up for research and feedback to learn as you go.
However please be reassured that you don't need to know all the answers or have a magic wand to create a high performing engaged workforce overnight. Together we will find the answers and achieve great things. We want you to have room to grow with the Company too so it is not a one-sided relationship. You will have tons of scope and support to make the role your own. Our mantra is "if it adds value, go do it". So, you will be good at using your initiative to identify, create and execute value add people interventions.
You are happy working in a changing environment and prefer to have too much on, than not enough. You want to be part of building something you can look back on and be proud of, in a team that has your back and loves working with you.
Further Skills and Experience
In this role you will play a key part in executing elements of our people strategy along with taking responsibility for operational HR within the business. If you decide to apply then you will need experience in at least one of the key components to our people plan (cultural change programmes; performance and talent action and development; communication and collaboration; leadership development) in addition to the areas set out below:
* Communication
* Training and Development
* Engagement
* Collaboration and Knowledge Share
* Employee Relations
* Administration, Compliance and Process Management
* Time Management and Organisation
A drivers license with the ability to travel and work flexibly on occasion is required.
