Isover manufacture: performance, environmentally sustainable glass mineral wool insulation for thermal, acoustic and fire safe solutions. Key Responsibilities & Accountabilities:
To contribute to the delivery of Isover's strategy by improving the positioning of structural insulation products within the insulation market, through the proactive management of the product range incorporating all aspects of the marketing mix.
Develop & implement a product range strategy for the relevant product ranges:
Perform routine sales reporting by product to identify product trends and opportunities to increase product sales.
Stemming from appropriate PPT (Price Positioning Tool) analysis, understand the market position and identify strategies to improve positioning to gain share or to make product improvements.
Perform routine competitor analysis to identify threats and opportunities for Isover structural products.
Understand market share and identify opportunities for growth.
Develop brand positioning strategies for different applications/products.
Develop pricing recommendations for different applications/products.
Identify and develop sales opportunities.
Lead the introduction of new products into the UK market:
Provide detailed analysis of market and forecasted activities.
Analysis of competitor activity, and likely reaction and consequent change in market position for Isover UK.
Provide technical specification.
Lead developmental activities.
Provide internal / external communication and training materials.
Full responsibility for Product Life Cycle Management:
Execute Product Portfolio Analysis to identify (a) STAR products and agree tactics to increase market penetration (b) Identify QUESTION MARK products and agree actions to drive box position (c) Identify CASH COW products and agree actions to maintain volume and improve margin (d) Identify DOG products and agree exit strategies (including moving volume to other Isover products).
Contribute to the strategy to establish a cost effective manufacturing base.
Investigate opportunities for new market sectors / applications.
Provide recommendations to introduction / withdrawal of products.
Ongoing monitoring and reporting on price and margin position of products.
Provide input to commercial strategies:
Ensuring marketing activity supports sales targets as well as sales targets reflect marketing strategy.
Co-ordination and planning of internal & external communications:
Develop and / or support internal training programmes for new & existing products.
Provide input and updates for external communications - literature, web-site, datasheets and the like.
Ensure customer communication requirements are met with respect to certification and quality assurance.
Support Isover's EHS objectives.
Any other activities commensurate with the nature and level of the role.

Experience/Qualifications
Degree level (Marketing subject)
Charted Institute of Marketing (qualified or studying towards full qualification)
Maths and English required to minimum grade C GCSE (or equivalent)
All commonly accepted best practice marketing models including:
Product life cycle analysis
Market analysis (share, sector, competitor, customer)
Means of communication
Knowledge of Saint Gobain Isover's product range
Ability to understand technical and engineering concepts.
Able to clearly and concisely communicate technical concepts and solutions (spoken and written), to audiences with different levels of understanding.
Capable of understanding and relating engineering concepts.
Good interpersonal and communication skills.
Good influencing skills.
Systematic approach to information gathering, data analysis, problem solving and setting priorities.
Analytical ability, able to identify and relevant issues and recommend courses of action.
Ability to work under pressure and meet targets / deadlines
Lateral and strategic thinking capability.
Proven work experience in product management, preferably in an engineering or construction related sector.
Proven project management experience to bring developments to market on time and to budget.
Marketing experience and the ability to undertake strategic and tactical marketing activities.
Innovative, with the ability to identify opportunity for products and services.
