LOCATION: Burgess Hill , West Sussex

JOB TITLE: Domiciliary Care Worker

SALARY & BENEFITS: GBP8.12 - GBP16.81

WORKING HOURS: Part time - 20 hours per week, with weekend work and working shifts.

THE COMPANY: Our client based in Burgess Hill , West Sussex provide care with nursing for elderly frail residents and those with mental health problems. Located in an area of outstanding natural beauty with views on the South Downs and across the 250 acres of gardens and farmlands. Made up of 3 separate homes and a retirement village. They are now looking to recruit Domiciliary Care Worker to join their committed team.

THE ROLE: As a Domiciliary Care Worker based in Burgess Hill you will be responsible for the provision of a range of care and
support services to the Home and its residents. In addition to act as a key worker to
specific residents.

This role is open to both those with experience and qualifications and for those looking at starting their career within care as full training can be provided.

There are several opportunities at 2 separate nursing home. Shifts vary between the 2 and can be discussed at interview.

Working Hours:

Weekdays GBP8.12, Weekends GBP10.10, Bank Holiday GBP16.24
NVQ 2 Arte of Pay Weekdays GBP8.41, Weekends GBP10.38, Bank Holiday GBP16.81

Key Responsibilities of the Domiciliary Care Worker

• To be responsible for the day-to- day care of residents ensuring that they
receive assistance appropriate to their needs to include:
• Escorting residents to other departments to include hairdressing salon, occupational therapy, physiotherapy and keep fit classes.
• Assisting residents in their mobility and taking them out for fresh air or supervised outings as required.

THE CANDIDATE:The successful applicant for the role of Care Assistant will either have employed experience as a Care Assistant or someone who has personal experience of caring for the elderly. Those with qualifications will be reflect in pay.

Most importunity you will empathetic with a genuine interest in the care of residents.

Key experience essential for the Domiciliary Care Worker role:
• Previous experience of undertaking personal care in either an employed or voluntary capacity.
• Qualifications in health and social care would be advantageous
• Available to work weekends when required
• Happy to undertake an enhanced DBS check
• Desirable - NVQ 2 in Health and Social Care
