Garment Technologist
BMB is one of the largest menswear wholesalers in Britain, with a national network of sales teams selling into over 600 active independent retailers. It offers a mix of formalwear and casualwear brands including: Jeff Banks, Ben Sherman, Gibson London, The Label, Pierre Cardin and Alexandre.
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a multi-skilled Garment Technologist to join us. Within this pivotal role, you will provide full technical support to the business and supplier base to ensure that the Company's Quality Assurance standards and Critical Path deadlines are maintained.
This will involve managing casual wear product categories (excluding suitings) across BMB brands, creating detailed garment specifications and being responsible for all QA processes & fabric testing.
Excellent problem solving and decision making skills are essential as you will advise on pattern corrections, garment manufacture revising manufacturing methods to resolve any issues. An exceptional communicator, you will need to liaise effectively with suppliers and other 3rd parties to ensure that BMB quality standards and time scales are met at all times.
Our ideal candidate will be a confident and articulate team player with plenty of initiative and a talent for making commercial decisions. With relevant work experience gained within the garment industry, you will be able to demonstrate involvement with an extensive range of products, liaising with both UK and international suppliers.
A team player with good process management skills, coupled with knowledge of garment construction and manufacturing. A driving licence is required for this role.
