Exciting new role with a leading development and Manufacturing company based in Leeds for a Production Engineer to work on New Product Development and improving manufacturing efficiencies
Nicholas Associates Engineering & Manufacturing is recruiting on behalf of a long standing client for a Production Engineer to join a rapidly expanding manufacturing company based in Leeds.
The role of the Production Engineer incorporates both office and shop floor based activities, supporting both new product introduction and continuous process improvements.
Key Duties:
* Priorities areas for improvement and develop production/quality control plans to ensure compliance and control.
* Improve the reliability and manufacturing consistency through the implementation of LEAN and Continuous Improvement methodologies.
* Priorities areas for improvement and develop production/quality control plans to ensure compliance and control.
* Carry out Verification and Validation of processes introduced.
* Design and introduce fixtures & jigs for manufacture and assembly.
Nicholas Associates Engineering & Manufacturing Division would be interested in speaking with applicants with the following qualifications and experience:
* Strong Mechanical Engineering background working in a precision Engineering environment
*The ideal candidate will be from a precision engineering / CNC manufacturing background preferably within the Aerospace, Medical Devices or Automotive sectors.
*Extensive knowledge of LEAN / Continuous Improvement & SPC methodologies.
*Knowledge and experience of process validation.
We can offer a salary package
*Salary - GBP30,000 - GBP35,000
