Contract Automotive Control Engineer job vacancy. Automotive / vehicle control system software and hardware development from concept demonstration through to validated product. Position would suit a Control Engineer / Automotive Engineer with knowledge of automotive / vehicle control systems, sensors, and automotive electronics and CAN systems. Automotive product research, development and manufacturing business.

The job will involve:
- Providing control systems engineering technical expertise, leadership and product development experience to a wide range of current and future technology projects.
- Defining requirements for control system software and hardware.
- Leading the development of control system software and hardware from concept demonstration through to validated product.
- Design, modify / adapt and validate control systems to optimise the performance of systems for different types of vehicles.
This job will suit:
- A Control Engineer / Automotive Engineer with an understanding of all the elements of a control system development from concept through to validated product - you do not need to have hands on experience of all elements.
- Any exposure to automotive / vehicle powertrain, engine fundamentals, combustion systems or similar complex engineering systems would be beneficial.
- Experience with tools such as Matlab / Simulink, INCA, ATI Vision or similar would be preferred.
- You are likely to be degree qualified in an electrical/electronic engineering, control engineering, mechanical engineering, automotive engineering or similar engineering / science based subject area.
