Dementia Care is a registered charity that provides care and support for people with dementia and their families. We are growing rapidly and this will continue as we expand our services and support more people with dementia.
Our small group independent living model of care is unique for people with dementia and we believe offers the best quality of care. Five people with dementia live together within a ‘family’ atmosphere, supported by our trained and dedicated Care & Support Workers in a safe and homely environment.
Our brand new development of bungalows in Dinnington are due to open in May 2017. We are now recruiting for staff to be ready to work in the new bungalows when they open.
Care & Support Workers
Full and part time contracts @ £7.50 per hour (Day and night shifts available)
We have vacancies for Care & Support Workers who are trained to an NVQ Level 2 in Health & Social Care and/or with a minimum of one years experience of delivering quality personal care and support to older people with dementia, or to people who require support with their mobility and other health issues.
We operate 12 hour shift patterns and if you enjoy providing person centred care to people with an ability to build positive relationships with local care services and family members, and if you have a keen eye for maintaining high levels of hygiene and cleanliness, please contact us.
NB. Care & Support Worker applicants may also be placed in our Independent Supported Living Houses in Augusta Close, Brunswick Village (NE13 7EJ).
Start dates will be staggered in the run up to May 2017.
In addition to competitive rates of pay, we also offer Guaranteed Hours, fully paid training including NVQ Level 3 in Health & Social Care and specialist dementia qualifications in association with the University of Stirling, plus paid DBS, NEST pension scheme, childcare vouchers and paid mileage and travel time.
