Job Title: Asset Analyst - Business Intelligence (Asset Management)
Location: Hatfield
Salary: Competitive dependent upon experience
Working Pattern: 37 hours per week

Job Role:
The Asset Strategy department are seeking a driven and motivated Asset Analyst to join the Water Resources team. You will provide technical and engineering input to identify and initiate a variety of projects through to design within the Business Intelligence department's programmes.
Key Responsibilities:
- Identifying projects for initiation through a variety of techniques; data analysis, stakeholder engagement and use of specialist tools and models
- Initiating and managing projects within the Business Intelligence portfolio to design stage reporting to the respective Programme Manager
- Working with stakeholders across the business to design, develop and enhance current reporting platforms and dashboards within Qlikview
- Enhancing and maintaining current reporting dashboards including upkeep of operational targets for our communities
- Working with project teams and contractors throughout the project lifecycle to deliver improvements
- Challenging, innovating and developing methodologies to improve performance
- Using initiative to investigate and resolve data anomalies and discrepancies across a number of systems
- Supporting the business through the production of accurate and timely management information
- Collaborating with others to maintain operational excellence in Asset Strategy
Key Capabilities:
- Qualified to degree level (or equivalent) in Engineering, Mathematics, Computer Science or other relevant discipline
- Full UK Driving Licence
- Business capabilities: process mapping, document management, communication, effective organisation, planning and coordination skills
- Excellent planning and organisational skills
- Keen to innovate and improve business processes
- Tolerance for and ability to handle detail. The ability to analyse, understand and produce detailed information accurately to tight deadlines
- Excellent Microsoft Office applications skills, excel in particular
Desirable Capabilities (Training will be provided where necessary):
- Project management qualification (APM or similar)
- Experience of UK water industry
- Knowledge of Business Intelligence (BI) software packages, especially Qlikview and Business Objects
