Principal Safety Engineer - GBP53 an hour - Weymouth - 12 Months
This is a great opportunity to work within one of the UKs leading defence companies based in Weymouth. You will be joining this leading company as a Principal Safety Engineer on a 6 Month contract.
The purpose for this role is to guide development of the Safety Management System and Safety Case for Successor Weapon Handling and Launch System, Defensive Aids Suite and Submerged Signal Ejectors. These systems are being developed by sub-contractor but the Safety Case outputs must address and align with CS and Successor Whole Boat Safety Case.
Experience required for this role:-
- Candidates should have considerable experience in Functional Safety justification
- Good interpersonal skills are essential, liaison with stakeholders at all levels to develop and present convincing and coherent arguments/policies
- Good written/presentation skills to document the processes and plans to be applied.
- Previous experience developing and delivering Safety Cases
- Previous experience of working to Def Stan 00-56 (Safety Case development)
- Good written/presentation skills are required to articulate and present System Safety arguments
