LOCATION: Banchory, Aberdeenshire
JOB TITLE: Support Workers
SALARY & BENEFITS: : GBP9.50 per hour days, GBP10.00 per hour waking nights including: 28 Days Holiday Pay, Company Sick Pay, Membership of a Health Cash Plan, Childcare Voucher Scheme, Double Time Pay on Bank Holidays, Payment to attend all Training
WORKING HOURS: Full & Part Time Positions

THE ROLE: : An exciting and unique opportunity as arisen for Support Workers to form a new, specialist care team in Banchory, Aberdeenshire. You would be required to work for a previously active 60 year old gentleman who has a Spinal Cord Injury and to support his ambition to return and live in his family home in the Banchory area. You will be working within a team providing care and support all year round, on a rota basis, including weekends and bank holidays. There are a range of shift patterns available including day shifts, waking night shifts and shorter double up shifts. With on-site accommodation that has been recently created for the care team

The role will include personal care, tracheostomy care, medication administration and supporting the gentleman in social activities, including trips to Murrayfield to watch Scotland!

Full specialist training will be provided for you in all areas.

THE CANDIDATE: The successful candidate for the Support Workers position will ideally have previous experience working as a Support Worker or in a similar role providing care although this is not essential as for the right candidates, full training will be provided. It is essential however that you are a naturally caring person who is flexible, motivated, reliable and committed, with excellent communication skills. A valid Driving Licence is required as is the ability to like and be comfortable around animals, particularly dogs. Although not essential, any previous experience in tracheostomy care and medication administration would be desirable.

Key Experience/ Characteristics preferred for the Support Workers role in Banchory, Aberdeenshire :-

- Must live within or be able to commute to Banchory
- Previous experience working as a Support Worker or providing care is desirable but not essential
- Must be able to commit to working a rota basis including weekends and bank holidays
- Previous experience in Medical Administration and Tracheostomy Care would be desirable
- Valid UK Driving Licence would be preferred
