Temporary Shipping Coordinator

An experienced Shipping Coordinator is required for six month temporary contract to join a successful Hygienic pump company based in Eastbourne, East Sussex.

To be successful in this role you will be an effective communicator with experienced knowledge of shipping and export / import documentation and procedures.

Key Responsibilities
- To plan and control the shipping and billing of all customers' orders, using the JDE system and liaising with both sales and finance departments.
- To arrange and coordinate the collection and delivery of customers' orders, liaising and communicating with the company's shipping agents (UPS, BAX etc.) and with customers.
- To control and minimise all shipping costs, and review and authorise freight invoices.
- To manage all necessary shipping and export documentation (including Intrastat declarations), and maintenance of all files.
- To manage import procedures.
- To complete ship confirm transactions.
- To Maintain Export Compliance in line with IDEX policies and procedures
- To print production job packs and to close works orders upon completion
- To construct pump certification documentation in line with customer requirements

Qualifications and Experience:
- Previous shipping and invoicing experience in a similar business environment
- Experienced knowledge of shipping and export documentation and procedures
- Experienced in MRP systems - Desired but not essential
- Educated to at least GCSE level
