Some exciting new job opportunities have become available with our exclusive client based just outside of Cambridge. Our client is number 1 in the UK within their field and the second largest globally. Due to continuous growth, our client is recruiting for a Field Service Engineer and a Technical Support Engineer to join the team.

Our client are big believers in investing in the future of their company and give the best training in their specific field. As a result of this, our client are looking for recent Electronic graduates to join their team and help drive the business forward.

Field Service Engineer

The successful candidate may have to spend up to two weeks at a time away from home, so you must be extremely flexible. Due to the company distributing worldwide, global travel is essential to this role.

Foundation training would be provided along with initial service visits accompanied with an experienced engineer. However, the role is very much a 'hands on' role, adapting to the conditions faced in the field and learning on the job. Engineers will have phone and email support from the office, when travelling.
In typical month, you would need to expect to travel approx. 2.5 - 3 weeks per month - this can often include weekends, and often at short notice.

We are looking for someone with the following:
Electronic experience is essential
Good problem solving skills
Ability to work alone and manage your own work load
Ability to communicate at all levels
Excellent customer service skills and have a commercially focused approach
Good administration and computer skills
Full clean driving licence

Package: On top of base salary our client offers on target bonus of up to GBP5K and also offers overtime. Company phone and laptops are provided with a company car available after a 6-month probation. In addition, all expenses will be covered by the company.

Technical Support Engineer

Working closely with Service Engineers and the sales team your responsibilities will include:

Answering technical queries via telephone and email
Providing first class customer service to existing clients
Liaise with Service Engineers on technical issues and provide in house support

Training will be provided on the product line and support will be given throughout the role. Candidates must have an educational background in Electronics, preferably up to degree level. Experience in a similar position would be advantageous but not essential.
