Melbreck Technical are working with this leading designer and manufacturer of Automated Equipment and Special Purpose Machinery.
Due to continued growth they are looking to bring in additional support in the form ofa Service Engineer.
Supporting their established drive and control business, they require a Service Engineer to support the servicing and commissioning of systems and components out in the field, in a variety of applications.
The position will involve fault diagnosis, planned maintenance activities, warranty investigations and the installation and commissioning of hydraulic drives and control systems, both Hydraulic and Electrical.
The successful applicant should have the ability to approach and solve technical problems logically and must therefore have a sound understanding of the principles of hydraulic and electrical control systems with the ability to read hydraulic and electrical circuit diagrams. Extensive training in the range of company products will be given.
When not involved in service visits, the successful applicant will be required to assist in the repair workshop or test facilities.
Qualified to HNC or equivalent, applicants should have served a recognised engineering apprenticeship and have at least 4 years' experience within the appropriate engineering industries.
Excellent communication skills are required as there will be regular contact with both external customers and internal associates.
Candidates should also be proficient in the use of Microsoft Office applications such as Word and Excel.
