Our client, located near Regent's Park, in the heart of London, is a vibrant student centre offering accommodation, social and support services for resident and non-resident British and overseas students. The organisation is a charity with the aim of promoting social and cultural awareness through international friendship.


JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

Online Communication/Publications
Responsible for sending out the quarterly e-newsletter utilising Mailchimp. To capture the content, enter it into the template, upload the data lists and deal with all bounce backs and responses to content request.

Social Networks
Responsible for the management of social media channels (Facebook, LinkedIn, Twitter etc.)

Website
Maintain the webpages on the organisations website in conjunction with the Marketing Department. To keep pages up to date and with events, news, benefits and information.

Database
Responsible for the regular upkeep of data and information on CRM (Microsoft Dynamics) and the in-house database (Star Rez), as well as printing and despatching membership cards.

Events and Meetings
Assist the Relations Manager in the planning and management of all events and meetings throughout the year

Archiving
Assist the Relations Manager in the archiving of materials including scanning photos, sourcing software and indexing.

Projects
To take the lead in setting up an online Career Mentoring Scheme for the organisation, and contribute to future projects.

PERSON SPECIFICATION

  • Experience of creating and populating email campaigns - Mailchimp (desirable)
  • Experience of website editing - Wordpress (desirable)
  • Ability to carry out social media strategy - (essential)
  • Experience of using a database and/or CRM - Microsoft Dynamics (desirable)
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal (essential)
  • Knowledge of foreign languages (desirable)
  • A Degree in Marketing/Business or relevant marketing experience (essential)
  • Appreciation of cultural sensitivities, and empathy with international students (essential)
  • An ability to work autonomously and as a member of a team (essential)
  • A pro-active attitude (essential)
  • Strong attention to detail and high level accuracy (essential)
  • Commitment to high standards of customer service (essential)
