You will have the ability to both support and test applications and to analyse and document business processes. In addition to this, you must demonstrate excellent communication skills, have the ability to build good working relationships with all levels of management, have an eye for detail and possess strong analytical and problem solving skills.

Example Projects:

Online policy management and renewals: as part of the Digital Strategy to build a customer portal for personnel changes, monthly invoicing and renewals online. This includes management of third party web developers as well as internal resources

Data visualisation: to select and implement a data visualisation (Management Information) tool including development of standard suite of management reports

IT Strategy: to implement strategic initiatives in IT such as infrastructure virtualisation, telephony systems,

Product Strategy: to launch new insurance products and related services most probably via partnership with third party providers

Key responsibilities:

- Investigate and analyse business activities and processes, identifying potential improvements
- Undertake testing of new processes and IT solutions on behalf of the business and project teams
- Prepare test conditions and test scripts
- Help to coach and mentor business testers
- Act as a test lead on small to medium projects
- Facilitate / lead project workshops as required
- Undertake effective Stakeholder Management
- Manage the production of required deliverables on behalf of the Project Manager
- Support the implementation of new systems and processes by training and/or assisting users
- Deputise for the Project Manager as required

Person Specification:

- Understanding of business processes within an insurance business
- Ability to work effectively with a variety of business and IT teams
- Willingness to support and advise colleagues through large volume of change
- Personal drive, energy, self-sufficiency and commitment
- Adaptable and creative
- Knowledge of a range of testing tools and methodologies
