A fantastic opportunity has arisen for a Category Manager who will manage a multifunctional team to develop and implement sourcing and management strategies for Castings and Fabrication categories.

Your specific accountabilities within the Category Manager role will include:
*Ensuring the strategies optimisation in the number of suppliers
*Ensuring on time, quality and cost for the category
*Leading complex and/or high value negotiations
*As part of the Sourcing Strategy, apply competitive methodologies to drive down prices to achieve and preferably exceed pre-agreed targets
*To prepare, negotiate and agree Frame Agreements and ensure that these are being used by the buyers
*Manage performance trends, ensuring improvement activities are implemented where required
*Conduct Global Supplier reviews (Steering Meetings) with preferred and key suppliers
*Manage the risks within the categories
You will have a background within Procurement/Category Management with a focus on casting and fabrication categories, engineering experience/qualifications would be highly beneficial and you will come with proven managerial skills.
Previous positions will also have seen you develop strong influencing skills, experience of risk/project management along with the ability to develop and implement strategies to support a growing supply chain.
