Experis are looking for an Inside Sales Rep (Contract) for our multinational client to work in Northampton
Inside Sales Rep (Contract)
4 months initially contract - Northampton
Purpose of the Job
This person is part of a team in the Sales Office, providing coordination between Customers, Sales, Training, Operations, Engineering and Finance.
The PSS generates sales by providing the customer with quotations, technical and commercial advice and efficient order fulfilment. Effective performance in this role is business critical for the company to meet and exceed its sales revenue goals.
The role is a vital interface that customers have with the client and its efficient execution greatly influences the customers' perception of the company and their willingness to buy and rent products.
THE CANDIDATE
Education Required (academic and/or technical education)
Should have general attainment equivalent to: -
3 GCSEs, Grade A-C or equivalent, including English and Maths
Work Experience Required (area and length of experience)
Job related work experience skills/knowledge requirements: -
Vast experience in a sales or customer service environment, preferably in the construction industry.
Technical Skills & Specific Knowledge Required (specific skills and knowledge required for the position)
The role requires active selling and will not suit a person with only a clerical and administrative skill set.
Sales office experience in the following areas would be highly beneficial:-
Construction equipment, such as formwork, scaffolding, safety products.
Height safety (such as fall arrest or fall protection equipment)
Construction fasteners
Effective skills in Office applications such as Excel and Word
Knowledge of ERP applications such as SAP
Behavioural Competencies Required (e.g. organisational skills, ability to lead a team, etc.) Initiative
Results motivation
Team orientation
Excellent communicator
Self awareness
Good time management skills
Completer/finisher
Intelligent risk-taking
Self development orientation
IT literate
Language Requirements (written and spoken skills)
Fluent in English; the candidate must be able to converse at detailed technical and commercial level with customers with a range of British dialects.
