The Role
The ISP organisation is responsible for procuring direct and indirect products and services for both projects and the business. Total spend is approximately 500M per year across UK, France and Italy.
An exciting opportunity has arisen in the UK Mechanical team for a Category Manager for Castings & Fabrication.
The Opportunity
- Manage a multifunctional team to develop and implement UK sourcing and management strategies for Castings and Fabrication categories
- Ensuring the strategies optimisation in the number of suppliers
- Ensuring on time, quality and cost for the category
- Leading complex and/or high value negotiations
- As part of the Sourcing Strategy apply competitive methodologies to drive down prices to achieve and preferably exceed pre-agreed targets
- To prepare, negotiate and agree Frame Agreements and ensure that these are being used by the buyers
- Manage performance trends, ensuring improvement activities are implemented where required
- Conduct Global Supplier reviews (Steering Meetings) with preferred and key suppliers
- Support ISP team in relation to purchasing queries in respect to the categories
- Manage the risks within the categories

- Although primarily a UK role, international travel may be included as part of the multi-national nature of the team, providing you with the opportunity to learn and work with other cultures

- Procurement professional preferably educated to degree level
- Professional accreditation an advantage
- Engineering experience/qualifications would be an advantage

- Fluent in the English language
- Additional language skills would be an advantage (French, Italian, German preferred)
