Melbreck are working with this leading designer and manufacturer of Aerospace and Defence equipment who are based in the South West in Dorset.

Due to continued growth within sales and the development of new products they are looking to strengthen their quality team and as such are looking to recruit for a Quality Engineer.

As a Quality Engineer you will be:

???Ensuring products produced meet the required quality standards and are fit for purpose;
???Reducing the incidence and costs associated with poor quality,
???Providing customers with assurance of quality every time,
???Ensuring there is sustained adherence to the essential procedures and processes at each stage of design, new product introduction and manufacture,
???Ensuring compliance with the Company's Quality Management System and regulatory requirements, identifying, escalating as necessary and resolving quality issues / non compliances when they arise to assure product integrity and minimize any potential impact or disruption in supply of products to the customer
???Ensuring the "audit readiness" of the business unit(s) for planned / unplanned third party / regulatory audits and program reviews with regard to quality compliance and assurance.

Requirements for the role:

Education

The role requires a CQI (Chartered Quality Institute, formerly IQA - Institute of Quality Assurance) Diploma in Quality or other similar qualification. Other qualifications such as an HNC in Engineering may be considered.

Experience

At least five years' experience in a Quality Assurance role, with experience within an AS/EN9100, EASA Part 21G and Part 145 environment.

Experience in the Aerospace industry is desirable although others will be considered.

An understanding, or a willingness to undergo training to understand, textile products, their properties and testing requirements is required.

Ability to perform Root Cause Analysis (inc. 8D methodology)

Detailed knowledge of testing procedures is required.

IT literacy (Microsoft Office Suite) and bespoke data management systems

This role has a lot of potential and is a key part of the departments succession planning for the next 3 to 5 years.
