Quality Engineer - Surrey - Up to GBP27,000 - Auditing Experience Needed!
Quality Engineer required to join a specialist manufacturer who have been established for over 40 years. The successful Quality Engineer will work closely with the Quality & Compliance Manager to ensure that relevant quality standards (including but not limited to ISO9001 and OHSAS18001) are maintained and to ensure that the expectations of the customer are achieved or exceeded.
The Package:
Salary - GBP25,000-GBP27,000
23 days holiday
37.5 hours per week with an early finish on a Friday
Contributory pension scheme
Death in service benefit
The Role:
- Goods inward inspection of bought in parts.
- First Article Inspections and Reports PFMEA.
- Facilitate and lead 8D improvement process using a variety of Quality and Continuous Process Improvement tools.
- Handling of customer returns.
- Monitoring of supplier's product quality to ensure robust and timely problem solving activity takes place for supplier concerns.
- Coordinate calibration of internal instruments in required time frame and update internal calibration system.
- Work closely with colleagues to identify and ensure work areas comply with business policy for H&S and environment.
- Promote company vision, values and reputation with all staff, customers, suppliers and partners.
- Continuously improve customer satisfaction (internal & external) by ensuring open communication and resolution of issues in a timely and effective manner.
- Ensuring Quality, 5S and Health and Safety standards are adhered to at all times.
Essential Skills:
- Awareness of quality - should have worked in a Quality Environment for a minimum of 3 years or have good understanding of current Company systems and their application.
- Trained Auditor, Trained in use of Quality Tools.
- Must be computer literate (word processing, spreadsheets, drawings and databases).
- The ability to cope with the pressures of a demanding manufacturing environment.
