My client is a blue chip pharmaceutical company in the Greater London region. They are currently seeking a principle process engineer to join their team on a 24 month contract. Rates will be between GBP55-60 per hour.
Requirements:
- The definition of tests on APIs or powder blends which are predictive of powder performance across various powder unit operations (e.g. blending, granulation, compaction, etc.)
* Translating rheological / mechanical properties measurements into recommendations for material property improvement and unit operation equipment and processing definition
* The development of semi-empirical models and a theoretical framework through which the effect of material properties on process performance can be fully assessed, and through which material/equipment designs can be informed.
* The optimization of material properties and compositions, informed by measurements and modelling, which improve the ability to convey, blend, and fill powders
* The development of project plans and milestones for your work which integrate with and deliver to the overall team project plan
* The preparation of technical memos and effective communication of key technical results to the wider project team
* Maintaining an up to date understanding of external advances in the areas of materials properties and the use of small scale predictive tools & modelling to develop products and processes
