Ideal Candidate description: The ideal candidate for this position will be an experienced Quality Manager that has experience of working across different sites. They will be an effective man manager and have a keen ability to drive and motivate staff whilst maintaining a Senior Management mindset. A strong sense of Quality and Environmental systems is paramount whilst having the experience of Auditing ISO14001 and OHSAS18001. This candidate will have the mindset of coaching and training staff to hit required standards. Job description and key responsibilities:The Quality Manager?s role is a key position within the Company and is responsible for providing strategic and technical direction and leadership to the functional areas to ensure sustained and continuous improvements in Quality performance and compliance. Responsible for developing and implementing the Quality Strategy and driving a Quality culture by promoting methods that build employee engagement and direct involvement in Quality. Together with the strategic aspects of this role, the Quality Manager is responsible for the practical application of Quality ?on the ground?, assisting management, employees, and contractors in undertaking the measures needed to comply with requirements of company policy, legislation and/or statutory provisions. Key Responsibilities & Accountabilities -Provide expert guidance, professional advice, support, and assistance on all Quality matters, giving on-the-spot guidance and prompt action where necessary -Establish and report standard metrics which drive the right behaviours, record, analyse and report quality related issues -Develop, motivate, and train a high performing team of Quality professionals -Agree annual plans with Senior Management that define improvement targets and detail the enabling action and work programmes necessary for their achievement. Develop and implement measures to track progress against objectives and targets and recommend corrective actions to the Management team when appropriate -Drive the process of sharing and learning through the Company to ensure that best practice methods are identified and embedded -Identify and promote methods that build employee engagement and direct involvement in Quality to proactively drive right first time behaviours. Promote quality achievement and performance throughout the organisation -Proactively identity and mitigate operational and quality risks through advanced quality planning -Ensure that appropriate procedures for the reporting and investigation of quality incidents are implemented and effectively utilised, to promote sharing and learning and define standards that prevent future recurrence -Interact, lead and support all departments and suppliers to resolve quality incidents -Lead site Quality initiatives (e.g. Kaizen Events) as appropriate to improve productivity, product, process and service quality -Identify training requirements, produce and where appropriate deliver training packages on relevant technical subjects, at all levels. Ensure that all employees are suitably trained to conduct their job to the required standard, including organising mandatory training -Assess the impact of external influences on Quality processes to recommend and develop changes to the business management system and procedures to ensure the continuous improvement -To maintain and continuously improve our Quality Management system, ensuring continuous certification to ISO 9001 whilst developing in line with changes -Develop the Quality management systems to incorporate all aftermarket activities -Lead and facilitate internal, customer and third party audits & inspections, and conduct audits & inspections at supplier?s sites. -Work with Supply Chain to establish effective supplier approval & management processes, develop proactive relationships with suppliers to improve quality and reduce cost Job benefits:
