A dynamic, growing IT Services Company servicing SMEs with offices in London and Cape Town requires a Business Development Manager with at least 2 years’ relevant experience currently working for a MSP, Reseller, VAR or Distributor, to be part of our team in London whilst working from home or the office.

The Opportunity:

This is an exciting new position with scope to progress to Sales Manager and lead the team of existing telemarketers. We as your employer will get to know you, your interests, and ambitions and guide you in taking your career where you want it to go. Alongside the existing sales team, you would be able to take full advantage of additional support structures in place within the organisation; which includes an ambitious marketing team, Service Delivery teams, Project Management teams, Finance and Procurement departments.

The Business Development Manager will be responsible for targeting new organisations, bringing in new business and building a client base. You will be a highly, self-motivated sales professional with a proven track record for selling Cloud and IT Managed Services in the business-to-business SME arena. 

You’ll have the tenacity, drive, commercial awareness and persuasiveness to find the right contact and sell the benefits of our services. Strong networking and organisation skills as well as an understanding of corporate purchasing dynamics are a must. You will be based in the Home Counties / Greater London area.

Business Development Manager Key Tasks:

+ Generate sales with new clients using professional and consultative sales approach via the telephone and face-to-face selling
+ Take ownership of your personal monthly targets and quotas to achieve them and go over and above
+ Identify decision makers at target companies and ensure that you understand their roles and objectives, and that they understand the benefits of using our services
+ Get to know existing and new clients in order to determine their business requirements and whether the solutions being considered are suitable
+ Create and implement a sales plan on how to reach sales targets that is tailor made to your selling approach
+ Research and manage a strong prospect list in order to constantly build a sustainable pipeline of new opportunities
+ Regularly review accounts to understand growth opportunities for new lines of business
+ Daily updating of CRM to maintain accurate opportunity forecasts
+ Adding value by becoming an expert in your field, investing time to understand the key factors that will influence technology in the sector and providing advice to shape customer IT strategy
+ Work with the Directors and Marketing department to identify new and key markets

Business Development Manager Key Skills & Experience: (minimum of 2 years’ experience in canvassing IT solutions)

+ Experience in a Business Development role 
+ IT industry experience and knowledge with a MSP, Reseller, VAR, Distributor is non-negotiable
+ Excellent communication skills are essential.
+ An innovative approach to business solutions is required.
+ The candidate is required to prioritise tasks and use their own initiative.
+ A track record of exceeding your personal targets and quotas
+ Proven ability to develop and execute business plans ensuring account development and growth
