Management Information and Operational Reporting Manager

About The Role The DAS UK Group are a specialist Legal Expenses Insurer and part of ERGO Group, one of the major Insurance Groups in Europe. We are making significantly investment in our Information Management capabilities as part of our Business Transformation plans. Our Information Management and Data Strategy has been approved by our Executive Board and as such we are developing a new "Centre of Excellence" for Business Intelligence and Data Governance throughout 2017. We are looking for a number of experienced Business Intelligence and Data Governance specialists to join the Information Management Team and support our transformation. As the Management Information and Operational Reporting Manager you will be Developing and documenting the Management Information and OR strategies, ensuring it includes the agreed principles (IT and DWH to agree) for delivering Operational reporting from the DWH when it is not feasible from the source application. Ensuring the MI Strategy aligns with the wider IM and DG Strategies ensuring a core element focusses on enabling and optimising a self service BI and Operational reporting user base. Documenting all MI Team standards and best practices, proactively driving best practice for MI and OR delivery within the team and across the Cognos BI reporting community. About You As an experienced Management Information and Operational Reporting Manager you will have Previous experience as a Head of Management Information, building and developing capability with MI Teams, introducing MI strategy, driving self service, developing and documenting MI strategy, standards and Best practices. Understanding of data principles, MI and OR principles. Awareness of DAMA framework and other DG frameworks. Good all round and hands on BI knowledge and skills. Broad understanding of the DAS Business operations, 10 year plan and strategic objectives. Experience of capturing, understanding and managing Business requests, allocating tasks to the appropriate teams to ensure effective delivery, maintaining key project deliverables and small change delivery pipelines.
