The Role:
Work Based Learning Administrator
Location: Carlisle
Contract: Full-time
Closing Date: Open
The role of the Work Based Learning (WBL) Administrator is the checking, processing and inputting of paperwork relating to new and existing learners, registering learners and claiming completed qualifications online from the relevant awarding body, and other general administration duties.
The role may also include other tasks as directed by the Administration Supervisor.
Duties and Responsibilities
Checking, processing and inputting of paperwork relating to new and existing learners
Registering learners and claiming completed qualifications
Provide administrative support to the Trainers/Assessors as directed by the Administration Supervisor.
Deal with telephone enquiries, responding to queries as appropriate.
Undertake mail shots and follow up action by telephone, letter etc. ensuring customer service standards are met.
Invigilation of exams
Administration and setting up of commercial courses
Update information from SFA which has to be imparted to employers
Maintain and update central records for all learners complying with internal and external quality assurance systems.
Work to promote and contribute to the company Equal Opportunities Policy
Carry out aptitude testing of learners
Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned by the Administration Supervisor.
Essential Skills / Qualifications:
Experience of using MAYTAS
Experience of working with Work Based Learning contracts
Excellent IT Skills including experience of using Microsoft Word and Excel
Exceptional accuracy and attention to detail
Able to work in a fast-paced environment to achieve against tight deadlines
Excellent organising ability
Strong communication skills
Flexible and adaptable
High levels of drive and tenacity
Personal Qualities
Proven ability, maturity and confidence to deal with a diverse range of personnel
Self-starter, able to manage a variety of projects independently
Ability to work on own initiative
Patient and shows control in challenging situations
Can take ownership for problems and assignment to resolution
Is a good team player
