The Job:As Reservations Supervisor you will manage an effective and seamless reservations and customer contact service to customers and bookers outside of key working hours. To maximise revenue opportunities through conversion of inbound enquiries, be they via the telephone, e-mail, live-chat or website. To manage a team of 3 part-time employees to ensure that service standards are achieved and targets met Key Responsibilities:Deliver monthly reservations targets and excellent customer ServiceRespond to enquiries regarding availability Answer the telephones in accordance with standardsIdentify customer needs and convert enquiries to bookingsDeal with queries and bookings in a polite and efficient manner within the agreed standardsBuild commercial knowledge to understand KPI's for strategic Clients and deliver a consistent service within specified SLA's.Input bookings into the reservations system, ensuring they are accurate and reflect customer requirements.Record all opportunities in CRM and adhere to follow-up plans to convert into bookingsEnsure that shift patterns are covered allowing the business to provide a service from 5.30pm - 10.00pm 5 evenings per week and between 9.00am - 5.00pm on Saturday's and Sunday's.Recruit as necessary and ensure that all team members undergo Induction training and reach the required pass mark (in conjunction with Training Manager)Ensure that all Health and Safety requirements are metPrepare reports as required Be aware of key Client SLA's and ensure that any customer contact is noted, dealt with and the customer kept informed. Ensure that information is passed on accurately and in a timely manner and that any process for complaint handling is followed.Meet regularly with Reservations ManagerProactively prepare for 1:1 meetings and appraisals with managerRegularly review performance of team through individual 1-2-1's, noting any training needs and feeding those through to Training Manager The person:Previous experience within the Hotel/Tourism industry would be idealSome proven leadership experience is required.Specifically strong in areas to include; Communication, Attention to detail, Planning & organising, Customer Focus and sales through service, Leadership.
