We're looking for an Area Manager to join our Total Solutions team in Highbridge. If you have experience of planning and managing construction site activity through a sub contract network and managing profitability of works then this position could be for you. As an Area Manager you'll manage the installation of Hire Division Groundworks Projects, from their conception to installation. Responsible for all component elements, Financial, Contractual, Programming, Pre Construction Planning, Construction Site Management, Health and Safety, and Project Management. About You This role covers our Southwest and Wales region to include Plymouth, Bristol and Cardiff; as a result regular travel is required for which a company car is provided. The following skills and qualifications are essential for this position: Practical operational experience potentially within a project co-ordination or supervision role. of a multi-trade environment.Experience in a commercial/customer facing role.IT Literate.Full UK driving licence.Good level of numeracy/literacy. Desirable but not essential: Knowledge of SAP system.Experience in Managing Others.Educated to A-Level standard.5 GCSE's Grades A-C, including Maths and English or equivalent. About the Role Responsibilities include however not limited to: Generate orders by attending customer sites.Responsible for Project Management from contract agreement to delivery.Plan and manage the construction site in relation to control of sub-contractors and location of planned works.Effectively use internal systems (e.g SAP and Goldmine) to ensure customer information is kept up to date.Manage the contract profitability.Ensure the cost effective use of materials, labour costs and close control of sub-contract labour.Ensure compliance with all legislation, codes of practice, industry guidelines and/or Company procedure/Policies relating to Health and Safety.Ensure the site is maintained in a safe, tidy and presentable fashion.Foster and develop sound customer relationships through effective communication to provide excellent levels of service.Promote an environment of effective teamwork and communication within and between regions, head office departments and Building Services functions.Provide appropriate statistical information as required.Reconciliation of internal systems (e.g SAP and Goldmine to ensure they are aligned. The salary for this position is ??30,000 - ??37,000 dependent on skills and experience plus a discretionary bonus of 5% for on target performance.
