The Position

Due to the growth of the business we are currently looking to recruit a Financial Accountant to join our team at our head office in Loughton, Essex. The role will be working with four other Financial Accountants and will report to the Accounting Manager.

Some of your duties will include, but are not limited to;

- Preparation of statutory accounts
- Assisting auditors with any queries that they have during the audit process
- Preparation and filing of dormant accounts
- IXBRL tagging
- Company secretarial duties
- Posting journals to the Coins system
- Preparation of quarterly management accounts for inclusion within Group consolidated reporting
- Liaising with external Joint Venture Partners, Internal Project Managers and Surveyors etc. to maintain accurate reporting records and to explore and respond to queries raised.
- Checking tax computations and IXBRL tagging of accounts for HMRC filing

The Person

- You must be a qualified accountant ACA or ACCA qualified with some post qualification work experience.
- Must be a good communicator- able to approach stakeholders at any level on own initiative to aide understanding of results and to question any anomalies.
- Must have experience in preparing all aspects of statutory accounts including full disclosure notes and preparation of full audit file including balance sheet reconciliations.
- Should have sound knowledge of accounting standards and an understanding of FRS 102
- Working knowledge of Accounts preparation in CCH
- Should have excellent attention to detail
- Must be an advanced Excel user
- Must be a team player
- Should have a dynamic work ethic, with the ability to pick up new information quickly
- Advanced working knowledge of Microsoft Excel
