Job Title: IT Support Coordinator

Location: Tamworth

Key Responsibilities:

  • Take responsibility for the day-to-day handling of IT support issues.
  • Monitor outstanding support issues and liaise with colleagues or external suppliers to resolve them.
  • Communicate with other departments and management when an issue has the potential to impact the business.
  • Build good relationships with other departments and provide feedback and regular updates on support issues.
  • Monitor IT Support KPIs.
  • Review KPIs regularly and highlight opportunities to reduce the number and severity of issues.
  • Plan and organise improvements and communicate them to the rest of the business.
  • Monitor the effectiveness of improvements.
  • Build good relationships with external suppliers to ensure effective support.
  • Proactively work with other departments to improve IT support wherever possible.
  • Take part in general IT department duties as required.
  • Provide holiday cover as required.

Duties:

  • Support users on a day to day basis.
  • Work with the IT department on projects.
  • Control open tickets and liaise with internal and external support.
  • Control stocks of spares and peripherals / consumables.
  • Review and monitor IT support KPIs.
  • Provide cover for the Network Administrator.
  • Produce reports and templates using SQL and Crystal Reports.
  • Work with suppliers to negotiate prices on hardware and services.

The Candidate:

  • Experience in IT support and dealing directly with users of all skill levels.
  • Experience of working with a broad range of systems in a fast-paced environment.
  • A calm approach to problem solving.
  • Experience of working in a manufacturing or other fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent communications skills and the ability to develop relationships.
  • A flexible approach and be capable of workload prioritisation.
