Are you looking for a rewarding role supporting young people with additional needs?

A well established SEBD school in Leicestershire are seeking an experienced Teaching Assistant to work 1:1 with a KS3 student. The school accommodates for students aged 8-17 with Social Emotional and Behavioural Difficulties who are struggling to access mainstream education. This is a full time long term position starting as soon as possible.

For this role, the school require the right candidate to have:

- Experience of working within a similar environment
- Experience of supporting young people with challenging behaviour, emotional/mental health difficulties
- Completed Team Teach training
- A creative, proactive and flexible in their supporting style - Own transport due to the location of the school

Responsibilities:

- Work 1:1 with the student to help keen then engaged in learning
- Helping to reintegrate the student back into full time education
- Working proactively with other team members
- Manage behaviour in line with the schools behaviour policy
