Pre-employment/ESOL Trainer

£23,000 per annum

37 hours per week / full year basis

The College is looking to recruit a Pre-Employment / ESOL Trainer to complete initial interviews and assessments of learners, ensure they are referred onto appropriate level training courses. They will also be required to plan, prepare and deliver a range of pre-employability training courses to local unemployed adults and be able to provide instruction, guidance and support to learners.

The successful candidate will have knowledge of recent developments in training appropriate to the local labour market and knowledge of the Common Inspection Framework in order that they can carry their responsibilities which includes; preparing for External Verification visits, complete course review documentation and contribute to the self-assessment report (SAR). You will also participate in the recruitment and interviewing of new learners where appropriate, including assisting with learner recruitment drives and marketing of courses.

Essential criteria for this posts includes; PTLLS or TESOL/CELTA qualification, a good all round education which includes GCSE Maths & English, recent relevant experience of training delivery to adults and experience of training and assessing training based programmes.
