Governor
Do you want to help transform lives through learning? Join our Board of Governors.
Tresham College of Further and Higher Education is seeking to recruit new Governors. Governors have the responsibility of setting the visions and strategic direction for the College and provide the accountability that Tresham needs to deliver the best possible education for our learners.
Volunteering as a Governor is a great opportunity for those seeking to contribute to the local community and improve the lives of the local community through access to Higher Education.
Tresham has campuses in Corby & Kettering and also offers a provision at Wellingborough as well as a specialist facility based in Silverstone, the National College of Motorsport. The teaching and support teams at the college are fully committed to providing opportunities for young people and adults to realise their full potential through skills training. All Tresham staff strive to achieve our mission; 'to deliver an outstanding learning experience, together'.
Ideally, the College is looking for volunteers with a background in business, community, financial or apprenticeships. However, we wold also welcome applications from entrepreneurs and, indeed, the broader your vocational field and experience the better.
Whilst this is a voluntary role it brings many professional rewards, such as boardroom experience which will enhance any CV.
An Enhanced DBS Check will be required and you will be required to declare any convictions, cautions, reprimands or final warnings which would not be filtered in line with current guidance.
Closing date for expressions of interest 15th February 2017
If you're interested in the role, please click apply and we will email you details for the Clerk to the Board of Governors.
