Classroom Supervisors required in Bolton

The role:

We are currently looking for several Classroom Supervisors to work at a number of schools across the Bolton area. These roles are offered on an ad hoc and day to day basis.

Duties will include;

  • Managing the classroom
  • Delivering pre-set work
  • Taking the register at the start of each lesson
  • Ensuring all work is collected
  • Leaving handover notes detailing any progress
  • Using personal strengths and subject knowledge to support key departments

We welcome applicants from graduates with experience of;

  • Teaching assistant in primary, secondary and special needs schools through the school direct
  • Coordinating workshops (such as drama, art, outdoor workshops etc)
  • Sports coaching
  • Working with children as part of church/community/mosque groups
  • Working in after school clubs/ breakfast clubs/ holiday clubs
  • Working as a carer in a children's home
  • Youth Worker / Brownies/Guides/ Sunday school teacher

They offer a diverse mix of catchment areas and characteristics varying from large catholic schools to smaller schools with traditional buildings.

Qualifications/requirements:

Within these schools, our Classroom Supervisors support pupils of different ability levels, SEN, EAL and from many different home lives, across KS3/4. We understand that every school and child is different so we carefully match our cover supervisors with the schools and children to which they work with best.

Thus, we require a minimum of 3 months experience of working with 11-16 years olds in the UK. Applicants must be able to provide at interview a 10 year work history and details of referees to account for the last 2 years including relevant experience of working with children referenced.
