Our client is in a very exciting period of growth focussing on investment and development of their existing strong brands. They are currently recruiting for a Operations Manager, Utilities to join their team. The Davidstow site has recently completed a major refurbishment and expansion programme.
Our client is now looking for a Operations Manager, Utilities to ensure the site, and in particular the waste water treatment and associated waste handling plants, operate in an efficient and compliant manner. If you have a background in managing wastewater and associated treatment plants, and feel ready to take on a challenging and very rewarding role, then this could be the next step in your career with a leading British Dairy company.
Principal Accountabilities
-Develop the required process specifications, procedures and SOPs for the waste water, calcium phosphate and water plants.
-Integrate the procedures and SOPs developed with the process operations (in particular the demineralised whey process), to ensure the waste water calcium phosphate and water plants meet process requirements.
-Ensure the services engineers are trained in all relevant procedures and SOPs
-Identify the OPEX costs for the waste water, calcium phosphate and water plants .and put systems in place to track these costs.
-Support the whey process team in identifying opportunities to improve the demineralising processes
Knowledge & Experience Required
-Qualified to a minimum of degree level in a related process and or engineering qualification.
-Minimum of 5 years??? experience in the water treatment and / or wastewater treatment processes, and powerhouse operation.
-Comprehensive knowledge of the Environmental Permitting regime
-Experience of compliance led discussions with Environmental regulators
-Good communication and decision-making skills
-Computer literacy essential
