I am seeking an experienced Service controller to join a busy team within a large firm. The successful candidate will be responsible for the management and collection of debts from a defined portfolio of customers, whilst working closely with other departments to resolve disputes. This position is suited to an individual with a minimum of 3 years proven Credit Control experience. Together with the knowledge of collection systems, and good payment practices.

Main responsibilities to include:

  • Assist with various portfolios as required

  • Liaising and communicating with service administration and key service personnel in relation to credit status of the individual customers.

  • Negotiation with the customers for agreement of and adherence to payment terms

  • For Key customers adherence of the customer business process required to facilitate collection

  • Working closely with cash allocation to ensure the ledger reflects up to date status

  • Reasonable duties as requested by Management.

Requirements:

  • Excellent communication and organisational skills.

  • Ability to work effectively under pressure.

  • Adeptness to work on own initiative as well as part of a team.

  • Ability to handle high volume small transactions

  • Intermediate to Advanced Excel - including use of Pivot Tables, Word and experience in use of customer Web Site is desirable

  • Knowledge of Sage or other Sales Ledger software applications is essential
