Tool Repair

This company is a successful privately owned thermoforming company based in Somerton, Somerset. They have been designing and manufacturing thermoformed packaging for the food industry since 1990.

Essential Experience
They are looking for a skilled engineer with manual machining capabilities primarily on milling machines. A machinist back round is essential.

Beneficial Experience
Experience on lathes and surface grinders. CNC experience with the XYZ Prototrak, Siemens 828D or Heidenhain 520i control systems will be beneficial but not necessary.

The Role
In the Tooling Repair role you will report directly to the Toolroom supervisor for expertise and advice and liaise daily with their Production manager and Operations Manager to ascertain your duties for the day.

Your main role will be to repair and maintain their Thermoforming tools for use within their factory. Depending on workloads you may also be required to help out with the production of the Thermoforming tools on occasion, training will be provided by the Toolroom supervisor.

Working hours will be 8:00am-4:30pm from Monday to Friday although a certain level of flexibility may be required to meet goals and targets.
